From Morocco’s High Atlas to its golden dunes
This five-day private journey brings together the most memorable landscapes of southern Morocco, with time to enjoy kasbah architecture, mountain roads, oasis valleys and the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. The proposed pace is more flexible than shorter desert excursions.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech to kasbah country
Leave Marrakech for the High Atlas and the historic Aït Ben Haddou area, then continue towards Ouarzazate and Skoura. Stay in the southern valleys according to the agreed itinerary.
Day 2 — Dades, Todra Gorge and Erfoud
Explore the Dades landscape, then continue towards Todra Gorge and the oasis towns of the south. Depending on the overnight route, stay near the gorge or move on towards the Sahara.
Day 3 — Merzouga and Erg Chebbi
Spend time around the dunes. A camel trek, guided desert excursion or overnight camp stay may be arranged as part of your selected package, with the exact facilities and activities confirmed in writing.
Day 4 — Desert to the Draa Valley
Travel through southern Morocco’s palm groves, kasbah landscapes and oases, with a suitable overnight stop based on the route and available accommodation.
Day 5 — Southern valleys to Marrakech
Cross the mountains towards Marrakech with time for a few scenic breaks. Arrival timing depends on road conditions and the final overnight location.
