Four days to enjoy the Sahara at a better pace
A four-day private tour from Marrakech allows you to experience the High Atlas, the southern kasbah valleys and the dunes of Merzouga without compressing everything into three driving-heavy days. We can tailor the balance between sightseeing and relaxing according to your group.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech, Aït Ben Haddou and Dades Valley
Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka route, explore the historic ksar of Aït Ben Haddou and continue past Ouarzazate and Skoura to the Dades region for an overnight stay.
Day 2 — Todra Gorge and the Merzouga dunes
Visit the Todra Gorge region and continue via oasis towns towards the golden Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. Depending on your chosen arrangements, enjoy sunset views, a camel experience and an overnight camp stay.
Day 3 — Merzouga and the desert surroundings
Spend more time in or near the Sahara rather than returning straight away. Optional arrangements can include a local 4×4 experience, a village visit or extra time among the dunes. We will agree the order and overnight location when planning your private tour.
Day 4 — Return to Marrakech
Travel back across the southern valleys and the High Atlas, taking breaks as road and weather conditions allow. The return still requires substantial driving.
Why choose four days?
- More time near Erg Chebbi and its changing desert light
- Flexibility for mountain and kasbah photo stops
- Time to choose standard or upgraded camp accommodation
- A private route adapted to families or photography interests
