Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech, High Atlas and Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech for the mountain roads of the High Atlas, stopping at suitable viewpoints. Explore Aït Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed ksar, before continuing through Ouarzazate and the southern valleys to accommodation in or near Dades. Overnight arrangements depend on your selected level of comfort.
Day 2 — Todra Gorge and Merzouga Sahara
Continue towards Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls frame the landscape. Travel east via oasis towns and Erfoud to Merzouga. A sunset excursion into the Erg Chebbi dunes and an overnight camp experience can be organised. Confirm any camel activity, meals and accommodation details with your proposal.
Day 3 — Ziz Valley, Midelt, Ifrane and Fes
Enjoy the desert morning before driving north across the Ziz Valley and into the Middle Atlas. Depending on the route and stops, pass through the Midelt region and Ifrane on the way to Fes. This is a substantial travel day, and estimated arrival varies with conditions.
